Where I am with my workshop planning is that I'm discussing with the National Trust about using the Back to Back Houses, where I've worked before. I'm particularly going to focus on what's not there - sounds, memories etc, in terms of what's been discarded and I'll also be looking at discarded and disregarded texts around the city centre. I want to work with Mario Petrucci, who's a leading poet and also a scientist (three times over; he has degrees in chemistry, physics and ecology) He'll be working on this as an ecologist, looking particularly at processes of recycling in terms of, for example, creative redrafting. Hope to have my proposal ready soon.

Hello everyone - I'm still thinking about the details of this project - but I am quite keen to work collaboratively with someone, although I'm not sure who yet. My work tends to deal with sound and the organisation of it - I have constructed instruments before although I do think my building skills need work, perhaps if there's someone that has more experience of putting objects together - I'd quite like to use some 'junk' to create instruments, and / or create a performance space / stage using these objects too - perhaps using large objects such as a burnt out car as a large percussive instrument (I suppose we'd have to make it safe in some way)..
Anyway I'll keep thinking, I'm off to the Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales this weekend - I reckon that'll inspire some thoughts..
Cheers

ANOTHER QUESTION
Another question from me, I'm afraid. I've got a scientist in mind who I'd like to work with, a scientist who's also a writer. Is there likely to be budget available to pay a fee, particulary if funding comes from NESTA?
